Portaria (Greek: Πορταριά) is a village and a former municipality in Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Volos, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is located on Mt. Pelion, facing the Pagasetic Gulf, north of Volos and its suburbs. The houses, their windows and their doors are painted beautifully with a variety of colors with beautifully colored edges. The mountaintop of Pelion is to the north.

Portaria has a school, a lyceum, a gymnasium, banks, a post office and a square (plateia).
